Got a roll of 12 on the first level up for my lineman as pro elves. What should I get with it? I have a kicker line elf already.

Should I get +ST or Guard?

I went guard but that was with a developed team.
On a new team where you don't have catchers doing all the hard work another ST4 could be useful and he has a chance of getting enough SPP for wrodge.
So at this stage either works.

Lizardman team with two Blodge Saurii. I think three of my skinks have Block or Wrestle too, FWIW. Wondering what to give the Blodge Saurii on next level up. Thinking about Guard and Break Tackle. My guess is to go Guard first and BT second, but what do you think? Or am I missing something obvious?

I'm not a lizard coach, but blodgefirm saurus are a monster pain in the ass to play against

I'd give one of them break tackle followed my MB and tackle.
The other one guard , stand firm and break tackle.

Hmm if I was gonna go the BT/MB/Tackle route, I think I'd take MB first for the SPP generated.

I would still take guard on him, useful when carrying ball as gives assist vs everyone marking him, gives more uses when not own drive.

yeah Guard is the obvious one and was my initial thought.
Pretty rare though that teams get marking my carrier tbh, but yeah would certainly make him more useful generally.

I would also take guard. It is easily the most important skill for elves and you only have 2.

Guard, until your pomb piece dies every non witch double is always guard.

    A few questions:

    1. Got a Pro Elf Catcher to Lv.2, should I go for Wrestle or Dodge? I have 3 catchers total, one is Lv.3 with BOTH Wrestle and Dodge and another fresh Lv.1
    2. One of my lineman has dodge but got a niggling injury, should I sack him or keep him around?
3.Double 4s on my Lv.1 thrower, Strong Arm the easy choice here?

    1. Catchers get dodge first unless they roll a double or stat.
    2. Fire
    3. Guard

    1. Dodge, unless you have three Chaos Dwarf/Dwarf teams in your league/division...in which case, go Wrestle.
    2. If you have a squad of at least 8 Healthy players, fire him (Journeymen useable). Otherwise...LoS duty.
    3. If you like your Thrower hanging back, Strong Arm, otherwise Guard.

I'd take dodge on the catcher unless there is a lot of tackle in your division.
A loner is better than a niggled lineman. However 13 players where 1 is niggled is better than 12.
So fire unless you have 12 or 13 players.
I would take strong arm on the thrower but I like to keep my thrower deep in my half and throw the long pass.
If you are planning on running forward and caging/screening with him then guard is good as well.

A loner is better than a niggled lineman, of course. But if that niggled lineman has dodge does it change the calculation?

Also, I've never had a full bench or even a full team, I have 1 or 2 loner lineman every game though I am planning to buy a catcher for the next match.

I prefer a Niggled dodge if I have already three Journeymen.
In a perpetual League I have never had a full roster, apart from the first game...iirc :)
If you can get four catchers...then get a lineman when you can....wry smile.

..it all really depends on what you feel comfortable running with :)
