This is the next game from FFG that is going to steal all my money. I tried it at a demo Saturday and must say that it seems like great fun and it is very different from x-wing.

    Way to cool

I am desperately trying not to look at this so I don't spend money on it.

    Unless it's free.

    Is it free?

    Didn't think so.

However what I did see looked cool. I especially liked the movement template thing.

I saw an opened box last night. Love the big ships very cinematic. Less bothered by the swarms though. It's probabily to do with the scale and can't be helped but they didn't excite me.

However the big ships are making it hard not to get.

    Hey CJ,

I saw this at the weekend.... Love the capital ships. I played Star Trek attack wing but it always felt too much like a dog fight

I just do BB and xwing and I am trying desperately not to buy anything else.

Attack wing did look just like xwing. Which means it wouldn't feel like star trek. Also I'm much more of a Star Wars geek than a Star Trek geek. Which lets face it was the reason I picked up Xwing.

I've got it in stock in my online store but I've not played it. Spend my time mostly playing Netrunner and Doomtown!

Some players at the local club say it's good though, I might eventually give it a try.

Have now been playing tree 300 point games, me as terrorists against the peacekeeping heroes. I have lost them all, but all of the games have been haunted by us forgetting abilities and rules and stuff. It is however so much more fun than X-wing, that I have started to sell all my X-wing to get more Armada:D Im kind of proud that I actually sell a game I dont use anymore:p

I have played two tourneys 3 games each and ended just outside the fun part - the part with loot. Still it is amazing so much fun it is to play the game. Here are my rebel fighters:

I have painted every squadron of the same type in a different color and it helps a lot during a game - it is so nice to be able to call in orders to "X leader". (X=color)

Were they prepainted or unpainted when you got them?

What do the icons on the base mean?

    Nicely done. :)

They come unpainted. The large ships are painted.

I couldn't be bothered painting mine.

The icons relate to abilities. Counter attack , Heavy , Bomber etc.

If there is a little face on the base, then it is a unique named squadron - and it is a great game

Is it collectible? (As in - you buy booster packs and get random units)

Nope only collectable stuff is alternate art on some of the cards and acrylic tokens. Mostly stuff that you get when taking part in tourneys.
