We've had a Crunch Cup honoring Underworld. We've had a crunch cups themed after Elves. We've had a crunch cup dedicated to the Undead. This time, with Valentine's day approaching, it is time for Dwarves (and their cousins the Chaos Dwarves) to find the love they so desparately seek:

With CTALE close to wrapping up, it is time to sign up for the next Crunch Cup. We will try to kick off some time around February 14th (Valentine's Day!) , so that should give you plenty of time to get your 2 CTA games in between CTALE and Crunch Cup if you are so inclined.

If you are not already familiar with the rules for Crunch Cup, including the rules for team eligibility, you can read them here:
    http://bbtactics.com/forum/threads/crunch-cup-the-rules.4115/

The Crunch Cup is our periodic cup championship, run in BB1. There will be a group stage followed by playoffs. The exact format of groups and playoffs will be determined by the number of entrants. We seed the groups roughly by team value, with some adjustments to make sure teams like Goblins and Halflings are receiving inducements for their matches.

Please post your intention to play here. All I need for now is the coach's name. You can pick a specific team to play later.

I'll sign up as interested here at least. Hoping it won't conflict too much with the BBT BB2 WC Quals, since that competition makes it one too many.. :p

    Sorry, I can't do it.
I have several other things on my hands (among them the World Cup in BB2) and I'm afraid I don't have the time at the moment for CC.

    Have fun, everyone!

Confused. You never actually state whether this tournament is dwarf and chaos dwarf teams only. Which races are allowed to enter?

There was link to the rules.
Basically any new team , team with up to 6 matches in CTA , team from CTALE , team from previous CC with no more than 2 CTA matches played after their last CC game.

Yes. It has always been the UEI - Crunch Cup.

UEI has stood for all sorts of things.

Okay, I just noticed him writing about dwarves and chaos dwarves and thought the tournament may be solely for those races.

I'm in with the Skaven Team Greased Furballs after CTALE officially is over.

    BB1 name is Bowie.

Nah, but some people might take inspiration from the theme of the tournament when picking race to play.

So far, we have not gotten a great deal of interest in this Crunch Cup. This may be due to the large number of leagues going on right now (including the bbtactics BB2 WQ qualifier). What do people think about running a smaller Crunch Cup, versus waiting until later? If we wait, we would probably wait until the round robin stage of the WQ qualifier is over (or nearly over), since that would free up a bunch of potential players.

I personally don't mind either way.

Either we do a smaller Crunch cup and I get a much better chance of winning the thing, or we wait meaning I have a longer gap before needing to arrange 3 matches a week again.
