Superintense match, whoever ends up playing against Hordemaster in the Loser brackets has my deepest sympathy.

Good game Steph. I was lucky to get the defensive score, and then lucky to prevent the same.

Things That Leap 2 - 0 The Murder Messengers

Things that Leap get an actual 2-0 win over The Murder Messengers (after being lucky enough to get a first round bye). First half, the Dark Elves kept the ball mostly in their backfield. They had a good scoring chance, but snaked a GFI to blitz my guy, giving me a 2D block on their carrier with a Strip Ball player, which resulted in a :pow:, ball going out of bounds, and getting thrown in to one of my Catchers, who was able to dodge away and hand off to another catcher for the score. I received in the second half, caged up, and advanced on the ground to go up 2-0. The Dark Elves had a chance to bring it to 2-1 with about 3 turns left, and an outside chance of taking the game to OT, but failed a GFI on the goal line for the score, and I was able to retrieve the ball and take it out of reach to preserve the 2-0 score.

Yeah a game that just made me want to pull my hair out (Except I don't really have much aside from my beard, so that doesn't really work lol).

Aside from the obvious 2x TDs above that were foiled by bad dice mentioned above, I was pretty amazed at their 5 breaks vs my 8, given I made over 50% more blocks, have MB and multiple blodgers, while they only had 1x wrestle 1x block. But then when I saw that from my 98 block dice I only managed 10 POWs, while from their 62 they managed 16 I was pretty frustrated, add in that I had 20x skulls vs their 8x skulls and the frustration just grows.

No goats nearby, but I think I can probably steal one of the neighbour's chickens to sacrifice to nuffle before my next match. Although might need to go for something bigger to be safe, neighbours have some buffalo, might consider that too (Would kill two birds with one stone too......as they always crap on the road outside our house each day as they graze the buffalo).

    Queenie's Queens 3 - 0 The Humie Squad

That game was a lot easier than my lucky win against 20p in round 1.
A human team with all block or wrestle vs a Zon squad with 4 guard.
They had the Ogre but my guard was more useful.
Also my AV7 only suffered stuns while the humans had 2 dead and 3KO'd.

So yes my dice were better but guard and dodge is better than block and no guard so I had an advantage from the start.

Tough game, both teams had their dominant halves.

Only the blitz at the start of OT, followed by double skulls from humans decided the match on dark elf victory.

    Max deadroom 1 0 <TS's movie rats>

A brutally close game that came down to my Ghouls being able to dodge better than the Gutter Runners. TS's last ditch attempt to score was almost certainly more likely than my last ditch attempt to score but mine worked and TS's didn't. Great game mate and fun to play you again it's been a long time.

Yeah was really fun - ghouls dodging like gutter runners and rats punching like mummies - hopefully the rats can do both next week :)

Unfair amount of Skaven BS outweighed my bad plays, gg @Smeik, hope your luck changes!

Woodies get lucky, so not much the Lizards can do about it, finished off with an obscene 5+ dodge to fill in a square for a double-KO/surf combo. I still feel a bit guilty.

Skaven BS came to play several times with a severe lack of Elf BS on show. Entertaining game with OTTD attempts, multiple blitz kick-off results and failed GFI's.

    Good game @Hudd

Karak Brewkings 2 - 1 World Cup Favorites

It all came down to penalties. I managed to score in my drive in the first half, but multiple KOs in the beginning of the 2nd left me with far too few players to stop dwarves from scoring back.
Dwarves won the toss but did not press too aggressively and I managed to have a shot at TD, but was 2 spaces too far.
And then the penalties. Karak came with 3 RRs (not really needed them to push my small force around in 2nd half) and dice had decided the outcome.

Congrats @TheSir. GG and good luck in the future.
