Has anyone played Mythic Battles: Pantheon? I tried it on tabletop simulator, seemed like a neat game. Is it worth investing?

Not. But I heard very good comments about the tabletop game Terraforming Mars. Supposedly a five stars game. It’s on my wish list for my birthday. :)

It's a game on Steam, you can play many different board games online. Can get it for less than 10 euros on sale.

As someone who has both played Terraforming Mars on tabletop Sim and has a copy in real life. I would recommend playing it digitally, eithier through tabletop sim or the official digital version because the board game version is expensive, doesn't have quality components and has some of the worst inserts in the business.

And by worst inserts I mean no inserts. Hundreds of little chits and cards and you're supposed to keep them in little cheap ziploc bags the box comes with.

Game is fine though. I'd rate it 4 stars tho.

I have managed to start on Secrets of the lost station. It is really fun, but boy do they need to learn how to proof read before releasing the game.

I started to play Gloomhaven with my kids in early March. Done a couple of dozen scenarios, retired 2 characters but it is still on the table and going strong.
Probably until Ankh KS will arrive :)

How old are your kids? I want to get my Six year old started in tabletop gaming and looking for games to play with him.

It depends on the 6 year old but Gloomhaven isn't a bad shout.
The basic rules are straightforward and it is all about looking at your cards and figuring out which ones go well together.

I need to go 1st so I can kill him before he hits me or I want to go late so they move closer and I can hit them sort of thing.

Two are in high school, the youngest is 11.
6 yo might be a bit too young for gloomhaven, but all depends on the kid. GH is also an unforgiving game, any mistakes or bad cards will cost you a win and it is pretty tedious to replay the same scenario multiple times.
Check out Above and Below - it is much lighter RPG and has good elements of D&d in it. Might be better for younger kids. Well it is not mini based game though.

Is Gloomhaven text heavy? My 6 year old doesn't have English as a native language so its very difficult for him to read.

Not much. You would need to know what your cards do but it is mostly icons. The reading could be done by an adult when city or road events happen. still i think 6 yo a bit too young

When we started the 7 yr old wasn't reading that well but managed to memorize his ability cards. He reads better now which helps as he's coming up on his first character change.

I haven't played it but there is Gloomhaven - Jaws of the Lion which is a simpler intro to gloomhaven type of thing.

25 scenarios rather than 100 and a tutorial scenario rather than throwing you in at the deep end.
So may be worth trying that and if he likes it you can go for the big box later.

Just recently created my first ever DnD character, joining a group online in a couple of weeks, looking forward to finally giving Pen and paper RPGs a whirl.

I started when I was still in school around 30 years ago but haven't played for around 5 years.
Sure I will go back to it at some point.

Yeah, 5th edition, only got the player handbook currently, starting as a fighter at first to keep it simple.
