Shot to Nothing
Once per game, when Gloriel performs a Pass action, she may gain the Hail Mary Pass skill. You must declare this special rules is being used when Gloriel is activated.
This strikes me as being one of the weakest special rules for any of the Star Players. I generally don’t recommend taking Hail Mary Pass as a skill choices normally. I can only really see this being used if you have a lot less players than the other team, manage to knock the ball loose and then need to punt it up the other end of the pitch. Otherwise Gloriel can pass it roughly six squares on a 2+ anyway, likely to a team mate who will catch it on a 2+ who can then move away with the ball as well. You might not get it as far but then the other team needs to knock that player over to get the ball loose. As doing that also won’t cause a turnover (assuming it’s successful) you may also then be able to screen that player off as well. A Hail Mary Pass might get the ball further down the other end of the pitch but it will also end your turn.
Hey Coach should I take Gloriel against you on our next game? 😀
You’ll want a Wandering Apothecary as I’ve now got a Sneaky Git, Dirty Player Goblin Bruiser.
